Our Daily Safari’s





Full Day Bhutan/India Safari


This all day safari starts at 5:30 am from the Haathi Gainda lodge by jeep . Visitors are taken through the park on the India side through a selection of park trails covering grassland savannah and jungle forest areas. Elephant, buffalo and bison herds can be viewed all year around as well as individual Rhino , tree monkeys and other animals and birds. Morning Tea is offered at Muttenguri hill top at the India and Bhutan border. The safari continues over the Bhutan border and 15 Kilometers into the Himilayan mountains and jungle following the Manas river upstream where a packed lunch is taken prepared by Haathi Gainda’s expert culinary chefs. The afternoon is a leisurely return of further game viewing back to the Haathi Gaindai Safari Lodge.



Half Day Jeep Safari


This half day safari either starts at 5:30 am in the morning or late afternoon around 3:00pm from the Haathi Gainda lodge by jeep . Visitors are taken through the park on the India side through a selection of park trails covering grassland savannah and jungle forest areas. Elephant, buffalo and bison herds can be viewed all year around as well as individual Rhino , tree monkeys and other animals and birds. Morning or afternoon tea is offered at Muttenguri hill top at the India and Bhutan border. Then a leisurely return of further game viewing back to the Haathi Gaindai Safari Lodge for lunch or dinner.



Half Day Elephant Safari


This half day safari either starts at 5:30 am in the morning or late afternoon around 3:00pm from the Haathi Gainda lodge by jeep to where you mount your elephant. Elephant safari’s generally last for approximately 2:00 to 3:00 hours through grassland savannah and jungle areas. Via elephant back, animal viewing can become more of an up close and personal game viewing experience than via jeep as other animals can be approached more closely via elephant back.



Half Day River Safari


This half day safari either starts at 5:30 am in the morning or late afternoon around 2:00pm from the Haathi Gainda lodge by jeep to where you board your river raft at Muttenguri. From Muttenguri the raft slowly moves down river 26 Kilometers, back down the Manas river to the main gate. Viewing from the river offers many different wildlife viewing experiences to either jeep or elephant safari’s. Herds of Elephant, Water Buffalo, Bison and even tigers can be happened upon coming to the river for a drink or to cross the river.
